Cambria Is 40 Years Old This Month!

I’m so proud of what our company, our employees, our clients, and our partners have achieved over this time.

Since our founding in 1985, Cambria has consistently led innovation in leadership development — pioneering competency-based interviewing in the 1980s, harnessing the early internet in the 1990s to collect and analyze employee data, scaling development through interactive multimedia in the 2000s, and spearheading executive coaching advances in the 2010s. Now, as part of Spencer Stuart, we’re extending our innovative executive development practices to organizations worldwide.

As I look back at my journey at Cambria, from a programmer in our survey department designing some of the first online surveys, through to leading the firm, I remember all the people whom I have worked with, and their contributions to the success of Cambria and our clients.

To all our current and past employees, thank you for choosing Cambria and for making it such a great place to work. I hope the best parts of our culture and mission continue with you, and that you’ll grow in your life and career as much as I’ve seen countless others before you.

To our alumni, I hope your Cambria experience has been a valuable stepping stone in your career. I get great pleasure from seeing our alumni running their own businesses, becoming Talent and HR Leaders, executive coaches, and independent consultants. Thank you all.

To our clients, coaches, and all other friends of Cambria, your support has been invaluable to our 40 years of success. Thank you for sticking with us through the good times and the challenging times, for celebrating our shared successes, and for providing open and honest feedback along the way. We look forward to continuing to partner with you all for the next 40 years.
